Asymmetric by design: one side thick, the other tapering to almost nothing.

The taper is finished by hand, so the point where it thins out moves a little between pieces. Reads different from every angle. Stack it, or leave it alone.

Get it measured at a jeweller. It's usually free and takes a minute. Or do it yourself:

Cut a strip of paper 3 mm wide and about 10 cm long. The width matters.
Wrap it around the base of the finger. Snug, not tight. Take it on and off a few times.
Mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres. That number is your EU size.

Measure at different times of day. Heat and cold move your size.
Wide bands need a slightly larger size.
Skip the fabric tape measure. It's too wide and it lies.
